The Urban Mobility Partnership were delighted to hold a workshop with Bristol City Council in December 2023, to discuss sustainable transport in Bristol. The workshop, which was chaired by Councillor Don Alexander, Cabinet Member for Transport at Bristol City Council, explored some of the challenges facing the city and what mobility solutions were needed.
Many thanks to Matt Barrett who presented on the challenges in Bristol, and to Phillipa Parsons who updated us on the WECA-led mobility hub trials. UMP members gave their insights and expertise on how to integrate new modes of transport with traditional public transport offerings, highlighting the importance of cross mode collaboration in order to deliver modal shift in Bristol.
We are excited to continue to work closely with Bristol City Council to deliver a sustainable, effective and inclusive transport system in Bristol.
