UMP launches Section 106 report in Parliament
This week, the Urban Mobility Partnership hosted a parliamentary drop-in event bringing together MPs and UMP members to discuss how billions of pounds already earmarked for infrastructure could be deployed more effectively.
Over 30 parliamentarians and their offices attended our event to hear how much the councils in their constituencies hold in unspent section 106 funds and our recommendations to unlock this money.
UMP convenes Inner London councils for roundtable
The Urban Mobility Partnership recently brought together members, transport industry experts and local authority representatives for a roundtable discussion on the future of Inner London’s streets. Representatives attended from Islington Council, Newham Council, Lewisham Council, Hackney Council, the City of London Corporation, Camden Council and Westminster City Council.
On the Grid at Westminster for UMP’s Parliamentary Reception

UMP Joins Europe’s Mobility Leaders at POLIS 2025
This year, UMP was proud to exhibit at the POLIS 2025 Conference in Utrecht, one of Europe’s leading forums for cities, regions, operators and industry to exchange knowledge on sustainable and innovative urban mobility. With delegates attending from across Europe and beyond, POLIS continues to set the tone for the policies, partnerships and technologies reshaping how people move through cities.
UMP hosts West of England Roundtable in Bristol
In mid-November, UMP was in Bristol to host a roundtable with local councillors, officials, and other key stakeholders to discuss the transport priorities, opportunities, and challenges facing the West of England and surrounding areas. By some measures, Bristol’s city centre effectively doubles in size during the day, with large numbers of people travelling in from the wider region for work, education, shopping, leisure, and more…
UMP and ITS UK Convene Standout Devolution Event
On Friday, the Urban Mobility Partnership, together with Intelligent Transport Systems UK, convened representatives from across the transport sector – combined authorities, national bodies, transport organisations and industry partners – to get practical about what the English Devolution Bill means for real-world delivery.

UMP hosts Leeds roundtable to explore practical steps for transport delivery
Last week, the Urban Mobility Partnership kicked off the first in a series of local policy roundtables. Starting in Leeds, we held a focused discussion on integrated transport and how to build a more reliable, customer-focused network across West Yorkshire, featuring a diverse group of voices from across the region.

UMP Summit 2024 Recap
