On Tuesday, UMP members were delighted to meet with Ben Bradley MP in his capacity as the Conservative candidate for the East Midlands mayoral election. It was very encouraging to hear Ben talk about the need to develop public transport, active travel and shared mobility options in the East Midlands and his keenness to work with operators in delivering efficient and consumer friendly transport systems.
Peter Stephens (Stagecoach) and Steve Wood (Enterprise Mobility) joined Ben for this important discussion, where he laid out his four transport priorities: roads, buses, trains and active travel. The discussion also focused on the importance of working directly with operators, corporate travel, and how to effectively work with neighbouring regions.
