The Urban Mobility Partnership has featured in The Bolton News following the Greater Manchester Transport Hustings we hosted with mayoral candidates Mayor Andy Burnham, Councillor Jake Austin (Liberal Democrats) and Councillor Michael Welton (Green Party, representing candidate Councillor Hannah Spencer), and which was chaired by UMP Member Julian Scriven, Managing Director of Brompton Bicycle.
Their article focuses particularly on Mayor Burnham’s plans to introduce more zero emissions buses, with the target of an all-electric fleet by 2030. Since the tram network does not currently extend to Bolton, the article also covers plans to introduce a tram-like train service to the borough.
