Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) has appointed UMP Member FOD Mobility Group to help develop a new mobility-as-a-service app that will allow users to plan, book, and pay for all transport options in the West Midlands region.
The app aims to make regional transport more convenient, sustainable, and integrated by combining real-time travel data, ticketing, and different modes like bus, train, bike hire, car rental, etc.
Development is being funded by the Department for Transport’s Future Transport Zone program and involves collaborating with many regional partners. The app will replace the existing TfWM app and work towards the goal of “one app, one account” for seamless regional travel.
