On the 10th October the Urban Mobility Partnership (UMP) hosted a roundtable event on corporate travel and commuting in collaboration with the NHS.
The roundtable focused on how to drive a modal shift within the NHS, the current challenges in the NHS and the solutions offered within the UMP Corporate Travel and Commuting paper.
The meeting led to some great discussion and representatives also had the opportunity to trial the benefits of a mobility hub.
UMP’s Corporate Travel and Commuting paper calls for businesses and public sector organisations to urgently reduce grey fleet usage in line with decarbonisation agendas and examines the problems of relying on personal private car usage for business travel, otherwise known as “grey fleet”, and offers key recommendations on how to reduce this and offer employees sustainable alternatives.
